Museum has a fantastic array of exhibits. Some of these
are: written cylinders from Ugarit using the first known
alphabet, two halls full of marble and terracotta status
from Palmyra, Qur'ans dating from the 13th century and
an exquisite gold jewellery collection from the Byzantine
era. |

the perfume souk, you will come to a small, quiet square
at the begining of Souk al-Bazuriye. Enter through the

famous Azem Palace, the museum features a wide range
of traditional costumes. The architecture and interior
decoration of the rooms has been inspired by Egyptian
architecture that was popular under the Mamelukes. |

Located in the
beautiful Maristan Nur al-Din, a hospital founded in
1154. The hospital was for centuries renowned in the
Arab world as an enlightened center of medical treatment.
The setting of this museum is breathtaking - the old
building and peaceful courtyard inside are even more
enjoyable than the displays. |
